Storytelling App – Bringing Generations Together Through Stories

Modern families often lack the time for traditional storytelling, a practice crucial for child development, imagination, and cultural values. At the same time, many elderly individuals have a rich treasure of moral and cultural stories but limited opportunities to share them meaningfully with younger generations.

Solution

We designed a secure, interactive app that enables elderly storytellers to share stories with children through video calls, personalized recommendations, and replay features. The product bridges generational gaps while keeping safety and simplicity at the core.

About Product

The Storytelling App creates a meaningful bridge between generations. It empowers seniors to share their wisdom, while giving kids safe access to cultural and moral stories in engaging, interactive ways.

• User Research – Conducted interviews with parents, kids, and elderly storytellers
• Product Strategy – Defined MVP scope focusing on video calls, story libraries, and personalized sessions
• UX & UI Design – Designed child-friendly interfaces, parent dashboards, and storyteller profiles
• Feature Planning – Proposed auto-record functionality and personalized recommendations
• Collaboration – Worked with developers to ensure safety and security features for children

Current State

A secure, child-friendly storytelling platform is in development. The focus is on making storytelling convenient, interactive, and emotionally engaging — helping children learn cultural values while giving elderly storytellers a sense of purpose.
